 Teacher of the Year Brunch

A Mexican Fiesta theme was created to provide a festive experience for the 27 teachers who were recognized as 2009 Teacher of the Year from their respective schools at the LEF Teacher of the Year Brunch. The Brunch was held at the Larose Civic Center and was sponsored by Whitney Bank and the Lafourche Comet, media sponsor.

The honored teachers were each presented with a monetary award, gift certificates, plaques and a bag. The overall parish winners for each level were Claudette LeBlanc, elementary; Franky LeBlanc, middle school and Susan Mayet, high school. The 2009 Teachers of the Year and the school they represent include:
