Strategic Planning Workshop Held

The Board of Directors of the Lafourche Education Foundation participated in a Strategic Planning Workshop led by Sarah Whiting, Assessment Coordinator for the College of Education at Nicholls State University. Ms. Whiting served as the Member Services Director for A+PEL, was a member of the planning committee for the Cecil J. Picard Educator Excellence Symposium and Celebration and a former member of Next Horizon for Education Excellence Stakeholder Council.

The objectives of the planning meeting were to review the 2004 Strategic Planning meeting outcomes, compare goals set in 2004 and by-laws in 2007 to current position and to set new goals/regroup to reach goals previously set. As recommended by Ms. Whiting, specific direction for the Foundation was set as means of increasing LEF productivity and impact.
