NewsJuly 21, 2009 LEF Changes Foundation Calendar
The Lafourche Education Foundation Board of Directors made the decision to change the foundation's fiscal year from July 1st - June 30th so that it would run from January 1st to December 31st. This decision was made at the Annual Meeting held on July 21, 2009. The change to a fiscal year calendar resulted in moving the Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors to January. Other events affected by the change include the Annual Gala to be held in January and the Teacher of the Year Brunch to be held in April. These changes will strengthen committee functioning and also coincides with deadlines set by the state for the Teacher of the Year program.
